Collection: KATERINA BELKINA
Katerina Belkina (*1974) has always possessed an extraordinary ability to perceive the world through a unique lens. Born in Samara, Russia, she was raised in an artistic environment, influenced by her mother, a visual artist. Her formal education at the Art Academy and the School for Photography of Michael Musorin in Samara provided her with the technical foundation to bring her creative vision to life.
Her ethereal and thought-provoking self-portraits quickly garnered international attention, leading to exhibitions in Moscow and Paris. In 2007, she was nominated for the prestigious Kandinsky Prize, often compared to the British Turner Prize. Over the years, her innovative approach to fine art photography has been recognized with several major international awards, including the Lucas Cranach Prize (2015) and the Hasselblad Masters Award (2016). Her work continues to push the boundaries of photographic art, blending digital painting with photography to create a signature visual language.
Currently, Katerina Belkina lives and works in Werder (Havel), Germany.
