Artist Statement
We often hear people discussing harmony. They try to achieve harmony within themselves by resorting to various self-improvement practices or creating perfect harmonious relationships, be it friendship, love, or family relationships. But does harmony exist?
It seems to me that harmony only exists as an abstract symbol, and in reality, relationships can only have a fragile balance that needs constant support to maintain. However unattainable it may be, harmony is necessary for us as a goal, the pursuit of which helps us attain this balance. The only actual manifestation of harmony in human life is art.
Authors often refer to this symbol and can capture it in music, poetry, or visual art, visually visualizing their idea and leaving it for eternity. The Raphaelian Madonna is a symbol of absolute harmony and purity.
The goal of the photo series was to depict harmonious relationships. Gender does not play a significant role in this case, as it is only a metaphor upon which a faint but hopeful belief emerges that harmony can be attainable in fantasies and life.
